How to Find Your Inspiration Again

Feeling lost? Feeling uninspired? Wondering if you are on the right track in life? I totally get it. Staying committed to goals, feeling lost in the madness of our world, wanting change to happen faster, feeling drained by work, we've all been there. In the current insanity of our world and final stretch of 2020 it can feel particularly hard and loathsome. These are some of the tricks and tools I use to help realign myself with my goals and get re-inspired to finish my year strong.

First, make a list of goals you want to accomplish but feel drained by:

Now rewrite that same list with tasks/goals that make you excited/smile:

The idea is to think about what brings life back into your body. If it doesn't even when you reframe it, maybe you need to reassess that goal. For example, if the goal is to eat healthy, that might not inspire you, but maybe 6 pack abs inspires you, or maybe discovering new recipes is exciting to you.

Think about reframing your mind into something that makes you smile. Maybe you want to exercise more, but the idea is totally draining. However, do you find jamming out to your fav tunes draining? I always think of my gym time as my me time with my fav songs. Or perhaps you love dancing, so why not workout by learning a new style of dance?

It's all about finding that light in your heart and feeling that inspiration flicker again. Maybe you need to start a new project or let an old project go.

The next way is to work backwards with a goal. Does writing an entire book in 6 months excite you? What about 3 months? Does quitting your job to pursue your own business give you butterflies? Yes? Great! What would you need to do to make that happen? Start with your big goal and then work backwards until you break it down into small daily tasks you can accomplish. This will have you excited to get through your day and work on your goals again.

Try these techniques yourself and let me know how they work for you! Let's finish this year stronger than ever and begin January feeling amazing, motivated, and accomplished. You have so much you can do in this next 1 1/2 months. Don't wait, start now.
